GUATEMALA : 03 MAY UPDATE : 30 Day State Of Siege Declared In Huehuetenango.

      After 200 armed people briefly took over an army outpost in Santa Cruz Barillas...the government declared a 'state of siege' in the province of Huehuetenago for 30 days...and sent troops 'to restore order.'
     The mob got violent after a local man was killed.
     They also set some buildings on fire.
     Ar least...8 people have been arrested.
     Indigena residents strongly oppose the building of a new hydroelectric plant there.
