Opposition mayoral hopeful...Oleg Shein began a hunger strike on 16 March to protest election irregularities in Astrakhan that he claims cost him the post.
Since then...Shein has lost 26 lbs/12kg...and was even forced to get a glucose drip.
He has talked with Moscow about the vote rigging...but vows to continue his fast...after being told that there would be no electoral review.
