The USA has always traditionally claimed the World Bank's top job...as its own.
But now...emerging economies are seeking the post.
Colombia's former Finmin Jose Antonio Ocampo (foto) has been nominated by Brasil...and seconded by the Rep. Dominicana.
Ocampo hasn't been shy in criticizing outgoing chief Robert Zoellick...for not aggressively seeking more funds.
A Nigerian candidate...Ngozi Okinjo-Iweala...has also been nominated.
The favorite however is still the USA's Kim Jong Jim...an MD who lacks economics training.
The appointment will be announced on 20 April.
