The EU may have to make a meaty ruling in 6 months.
Namely...is the 'Krainer sausage'...Slovenian...or Austrian?
The issue is of import for Vienna/Wien...and Ljubljana.
EU status for the Krainer...means trademark protection...and probably higher prices.
Slovenia claims the minced pork concoction was invented there.
Vienna believes their cheese filled version...the Kaesekrainer...is the original deal.
The bureaucrats are giving them 6 months to work it out...before making a final decision.
