PERU: Humala Relieved As Chehade Resigns As VP.

After months of resisting...VP Omar Chehade (foto) finally resigned...over corruption allegations.
Though Chehade's post was largely ceremonial...his resignation will remove growing pressure on President Humala...who campaigned promising to fight corruption.
By one vote...Chehade just narrowly held onto his congressional seat.
Humala lacks the authority to fire Chehade.
