Spain's 2007 'Historic Memory law'...is officially a memory.
It allowed descendants of civil war-era exiles to apply for Spanish citizenship.
More than 200,000 have been recognized.
It was extremely popular in Cuba and Argentina...after being passed by the former socialist government.
The law expired Tuesday.
