MEXICO: Low Police Wages Persist; Report Says Some Police Earn Just $260 Monthly.

                                            AP

Low salaries have been cited as a reason for police corruption.
Along with the constant threat of violence.
Plomo o plata/lead or silver...as the saying goes.
But a new report says that some police in the narco troubled NE state of Tamaulipas are still paid only $262 per month.
Meanwhile...the average wage for state police is about $670 monthly or about $8,000 annually.
