Latvians fired their entire parliament in a referendum that saw a 45% voter turnout.
They voted by an overwhelming 95% to dissolve the 100-member parliament and hold elections in September.
Ex-President Valdis Zatlers (above) had called for the election before leaving office. "I got fed up of living in a country ruled by lies, cynicism and greed," Zatlers said.
