Australian Elizabeth "Lilly" Littlewood, 26, is still hospitalized after a cabbie tried to rob her and a companion...then shot her in the stomach on a ride to the Lima airport.
The driver demanded money but because neither Littlewood nor her boyfriend could understand Spanish...she assumed he wanted her out of the cab so she tried the door. Then the driver shot her.
Her father said: ''They were hauled around town by a few assailants for several hours before they finally convinced them to get to a hospital. It went on for hours and everyone was in a difficult position.''
