BRASIL : Acre State Declares Immigration Emergency; Requests Funds.


     Of course...the USA isn't the only nation dealing with urgent immigration issues.
     Brasil's remote Amazon state Acre...which borders Bolivia and Peru...declared an emergency...and requested more funds from Brasilia to deal with the flood of illegal immigrants.
     Officials say most arrivals are from Haiti...but that some also come from Africa and Bangladesh.
      They report that 1,700 had arrived in just the past 2 weeks.
