Diego Martinez...a 34-year-old economist...has been named new central bank president.
He replaces former chief...Pedro Delgado...a cousin of President Correa...now on the run for claiming a fake economics degree...to enroll in an MBA program.
     Martinez studied in the Netherlands.
Delgado headed the CBank since 2011...before resigning in disgrace after the 2 decade old phony claim was revealed.
     Despite high oil prices...Ecuador's growth slowed from 9.1% in Q3 of 2011...to 4.7% in Q3 of 2012.
President Correa is running for re-election to another 4 year term in February.
