      China is the new standard for...horrible pollution.
      Beijing is now famous for its Beijing Cough...not just its duck.

      Many stores were sold out of masks...and construction sites were told to shut down... and official cars were parked.

      On Sunday...there were flight delays...and highway closures.
      But...on the only sunny side visible...officials displayed a new openness about the terrible smog...holding news conferences...and even blogging.
