NICARAGUA : 3,000 Evacuated As San Cristobal Volcano Blows Ash And Gas.

     The San Cristobal volcano...just 87 miles from Managua...exploded 3 times...spewing ash and gas high into the air...and forcing authorities to evacuate over 3,000 people from 9 communities in the area.
     The volcano is the highest mountain in Nicaragua...and has been active since 1520.
     It last eruptions were in 2008, 2006...and 1999.
     Neighboring Costa Rica suffered slight damage last week from a large 7.2 earthquake...just 87 miles from San Jose...that has been sending regular tremors throughout the area.
