Austerity is spurring many Greeks to dump their cars...and mount bikes.
High road taxes, soaring fuel costs, repairs...along with high taxi and metro fares have seen the number of Greek cars decline by 40% in just 2 years....and bike riders surge.
But more than 200,000 bikes were sold there in 2011...as a cycling culture gradually takes hold.
