     PM Mario Monti was booed by some while visiting destruction from the 6.0 earthquake near Bologna.

     The quake killed at least 6...and left more than 6,000 homeless in the Emilia Romagna region.
     Damage is estimated at more than E500 million.
     There was widespread damage to many historic churches, castles and buildings.

       The region's famous Parmesan cheese industry was crippled by the quake.
