BRASIL: Boom Times Hit Manaus...And Amazon Rain Forest.

     Manaus...the capital of Amazonas state...has doubled in population...to 1.8 million...since 1990....mostly because of generous tax breaks.
    But...its growth threatens the fragile rain forest environment.
