Police report that only 2 prisoners are unaccounted for...of the 17 who escaped from the Challapalca prison in Puno.
7 more were captured..and one found dead near Bolivia's border.
17 dangerous criminals escaped...thru a highly coordinated effort...despite sparse communications systems in the remote area.
The government closed and reinforced Chilean and Bolivian borders...and mobilized 3,000 police to track down the escapees.
