President Juan Manuel Santos wants his young, brand new Defense Minister Juan Carlos Pinzón (above) to finish off the FARC rebels.
For good...this time.
Because recently...the FARC has been on the offensive again...with new recruits, ambushing troops and worrying the populace that hard fought security gains are disappearing.
Even a new report states that security gains under ex-President Uribe were "overrated."
A high ranking officer said :"The worst thing that could have happened for us was when the commanders started talking about the 'end of the end' of the FARC. That's when the rebels started changing their strategy."
