Many Americans who dared not visit Cuba...now have a legal opportunity under new travel regulations approved in January by President Obama...that allow "people-to-people" exchanges.
But some Miami Cuban hardliners object...because they see any USA cash infusion by tourism as support for the cash strapped Cuban communist government...and are working to end such travel.
Those critics also believe new visitors will only get a sanitized view of Cuba.
It is estimated that 100,000 Americans will go to Cuba this year under the new rules.
