MEXICO / BOLIVIA / USA: Mexican Writer's Plane Denied Access Over USA Airspace.

                              GUARDIAN

Never underestimate the power and long memory of USA bureaucrats.
Mexican citizen, writer and activist Raquel Gutierrez Aguilar, 48, was on an Aeromexico plane headed from DF to Italy via Spain...when her plane was prevented from crossing over USA airspace and returned to Mexico...because her name was on a US no-fly blacklist.
She was forced to miss the conference in Italy...because the airline could only offer her flights there...and many hours later...via Argentina.
Though she has visited the USA before...20 years ago Gutierrez Aguilar was arrested and tortured for belonging to a Bolivian rebel group...though all charges were later dismissed.
