The media report that hundreds of demonstrators were beaten and arrested in Minsk and around the nation on Wednesday.
A human rights group reported that 380 people were arrested, 190 of them in Minsk.
There were "clapping" protests in 8 areas of Minsk...after calls by the social networks.
At these demonstrations...protesters maintain silence...except for hand clapping.
