B.A.HERALD /
Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman (pictured) confirms that several serious incidents have taken place at the Argentine-Bolivian border, all involving Bolivian Colonel Willy Gareca.
The latest occurred with at least 50 Bolivian troops, who illegally crossed the border on 26 October and broke into the El Polvaredal logging company, stole machinery and attacked an employee before fleeing with $200,000 pesos.
Gareca “thinks he can take the law into his own hands and we’re trying to talk with the Bolivian government to make sure that doesn’t happen,” said Timerman.
