CHILE:Many Mapuches End Long Hunger Strike After Agreement Is Reached.

LAHT/     Some 30 jailed Mapuche Indians have ended their long hunger strikes – many dating back to July 12 – after reaching an agreement with the government which decided to withdraw anti-terror charges filed against them. They will instead be charged with crimes under common criminal law. It is hoped that the remaining 8 hunger strikers will end their protest as well.
