BRASIL: Economy Is Overheating As Shortages Appear.

BLOOMBERG/   Shortages are appearing in Brasil from an economic growth forecast at 6.6% this year, the fastest pace in two decades. Brasil's economy grew 9% in the first quarter from a year earlier, the fastest annual rate since 1995. “National demand is growing at a Chinese pace,” said economist Nelson Teles. “That’s why the central bank will keep raising the Selic and the Finance Ministry is trying to reduce pressure on the bank by cutting spending.”
