After twenty years, Exxon Mobil has FINALLY paid $470 million interest on a nearly $508 million judgement awarded to victims of the 1989 Valdez oil spill.
The interest has accrued...and been contested by Exxon's lawyers...since 1996....when the original damage award was issued.
So now, will I fill-up my auto at Exxon stations...something that I have totally avoided for 20 years?
I don't think so! All is not so easily forgiven... or forgotten.

Exxon apparently hasn't changed its position on climate change...no matter what it proclaims publicly.
The corporation continued to support lobby groups in 2008 that question the reality of global warming.
