It took extensive surgery to repair numerous broken facial bones...but Albertan Sheila McNabb, 37, has finally been released from a Calgary hospital.
The office manager was badly beaten in a 5-star Mazatlan hotel in late January.
A Mexican national, 28, has been charged in the brutal attack.
He confessed in front of local media...but later recanted his admission and apologies...claiming police beat and tortured him.
McNabb's family released a statement: "She and her family remain positive in the outcome of this process as she has been receiving excellent care since she has been back in Calgary. Sheila is also aware of the tremendous support she and our family have received and it warms her heart.'
