President Putin may be hobbled by a bruised spine...but the feisty judo enthusiast is still capable of launching a full frontal attack on state corruption...and against some of his own people.
Hoping to smother all the opposition's oxygen...Putin recently fired his powerful defense minister Anatoly Serdyukov (foto)...and now is dogging his former agriculture minister Elena Skrynnik.
His approval rating shot-up 4 points after the Serdyukov sacking.
Putin is also using his state media...in a full throated campaign...to go after new sacrificial corruption victims.
