President Hugo Chavez's former personal physician speculates that Chavez's chances of recovery from cancer are slim...with less than 2 years to live.
Dr. Salvatore Navarrete (above) told Mexico's MILENIO :“When I say this, it means that he has no more than two years left. Judging by the information from his family, Chavez has a tumor in his pelvis, or sarcoma, and this is why he is receiving such aggressive chemotherapy treatment,” he said.
Navarrete cared for Chavez (above) from 2002 until recently.
Navarrete added that :"Now he (Chavez) only trusts Cuban doctors."
Chavez has returned to Cuba for a check-up...after 4 chemo treatments.
Meanwhile...his supporters have lashed out against the doctor's claims...one even accusing Navarrete of breaching his medical ethics.
They accuse the opposition of 'morbid' obsessions'...and 'necrophilia'.

Sometimes it seems like an upside down world in Venezuela.
Venezuela's supreme court declared that former Caracas mayor and prominent opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez, 40 (above) "can freely sign up and participate in elections" including next year's presidential vote, but whether or not he could actually take office if elected "isn't within the judicial branch's analysis at this time".
