CUBA: Regular Pesos Making A Test Comeback.
REUTERS/ A Santiago de Cuba project is testing the wider use of the common peso ("moneda nacional") for restaurants and retail stores...in addition to the current pricier "Chavito" or convertible peso. This test may be the government's first step toward phasing out its unpopular two-currency system and a reversal of 20 years of policy.
