Even with 5,000 police stationed in the area...after one day of calm...violence again returned to La Parada...Lima's 50-year-old main wholesale market...where Thursday's rioting saw 2 protesters killed...and more than 100 were injured...including 68 police.
2 more died Satruday...with 27 were injured...and 70 more arrested.
Officials want to move the giant wholesale market to another location for hygienic reasons...and vendors violently object.
Last week...500 police...some of them on horseback...responded to stone throwers with tear gas...and bullets.
A horse was injured and some journalists were abused during the melee...that included looting of stores and parked cars.
