Three executives and a former columnist from the opposition newspaper El Universal have been sentenced to 3 years in jail and $30m...for libeling President Rafael Correa.
They had claimed the method the army used to rescue him from the clutches of striking police...by firing on the hospital and killing several and wounding others...was ordered by Correa.
All plan to appeal the decision.
