After the Miami newspaper...EL NUEVO HERALD... reported that its sources claimed President Hugo Chávez was whisked away to a Caracas military hospital for renal problems...Chavez appeared at the presidential palace and tossed around a baseball...while ridiculing the rumors.
"They've got me on dialysis," he scoffed.
Chávez has previously warned citizens to ignore the recurring rumors of his declining health from an undisclosed cancer...that come primarily from Miami.
"I would be the first...to communicate any difficulty in the process. None beyond the normal has come up," he said.
"I'm going to completely get out of this soon," Chavez said. "I more than double any candidate and in this condition, so go tell the empire and the Miami conspirators it's Chavez and the Bolivarian revolution again."
