MEXICO: Poverty Grows...Now 46% Of Population; Murder Rate Soars By 25%.

    In 2010, Mexicans living in poverty increased by more than 3 million...to 52 million...since 2008.
    The new numbers mean 46.2% of the population now lives in poverty.
    President Calderon blamed the increase on the 2008 global financial crisis and worldwide food price increases.


AND: Murders in Mexico climbed by almost 25 percent...in 2010.
    A new report recorded 24,374 homicides in 2010...compared with 19,803 in 2009.
    The state of Chihuahua had the highest number...4,747...or 139 killing per 100,000 residents. That border state is where the troubled and perhaps cursed Cd. Juarez is located.
    Overall...murders In Mexico increased by more than 734% from 2005-2010.
