On Saturday, thousands of President Hugo Chavez's supporters flooded downtown Caracas supporting his crackdown on allegedly crooked real-estate and construction companies.
Chavez recently expropriated six residential complexes and ordered "the temporary occupation" of eight gated communities in Caracas and other cities.
On Friday in Caracas, police arrested 33 who complained about poor subway service on the Metro, accusing the protestors of “sabotage”and “hijacking” trains.
