SOUTH AMERICA: Narcos Smuggling Coke On Old Jets Across The Atlantic.

    The latest trend in drug smuggling is buying old jets and flying them loaded with cocaine across the Atlantic to West Africa and on to Europe.
   The absence of radar coverage over the ocean is the attraction.
   The distances involved are immense. One way trip from Venezuela to West Africa is about 3,400 miles.
   But the global slump left hundreds of cargo jets idle and cheap.
