Salta Judge Martin Perez formally charged Gustavo Lasi, Daniel Vilte and Santos Vera as "co-authors" in the murders and sexual abuse...of 2 French student tourists...Cassandre Bouvier, 29, and Houria Moumni, 24, in July at the Quebrada de San Lorenzo nature preserve near Salta.
Three other people were charged with covering up the double murder...Maria Fernanda Canizares, Omar Dario Ramos and Antonio Eduardo Sandoval.
"The motive (of the crime) was sexual assault," Perez said. "Theft took place afterward."
The decision means that there is enough evidence for the trials to finally begin.
