      If you are reading this post...you are probably not in Davos...discussing the world's economic prospects.
      Like this blog's editor...you're stuck sitting in the office...again.

      But...on the bright side...you are not paying thru the nose for a tiny hotel room...so you can trudge thru deep Swiss snow and cold...only to be ignored by the economic elites...and shunned by the heavyweights...after paying over $10,000 to attend.
      Besides...it's freezing there!

      Wouldn't a winter conference in Rio, Cancun or Sydney...make more sense?
      So...we have missed seeing...in person...German Chancellor Angela Merkel calling for continued austerity...and urging no slow down in painful financial reforms.
     Social unrest? So what!
     Growing unemployment? Spain now with historic 26% jobless! 
     Tough it out!
     All part of paymistress Angela's competitiveness obsession.
     Merkel also warned about Japan's intention to greatly expand asset buying...increase inflation to 2%...and perhaps renew the currency wars. 
     In icy Davos 2013...cold hearted austerity chic survives...and thrives.

     Meanwhile...speaking about Japan...in what's certainly a phony rumor...Tokyo's new FinMin Aso was allegedly doing 2x sets a night...in the Four Seasons fabulous Laff Lounge...featuring his 2x new controversial routines...Cut off the feeding tube people...and...The old must hurry-up and die.
