Most pundits...and according to a CNN flash poll...67% of the viewing public...thought GOP Mitt Romney...won last night's USA presidential debate...over President Obama.
Obama was described by some critics as lethargic...even though Romney seemed overly aggressive, pushy...and frankly over-caffeinated.
Today...critics are even attacking experienced moderator Jim Lehrer, 78...for losing control of Romney...and the show.
An estimated 68 million watched it in the USA...and perhaps 200 million worldwide.
But...the big winner on the internet...was Big Bird.
Big Bird is a larger than life puppet on the PBS children's show...Sesame Street.
Romney gave the puppet a backhanded shout out...promising to cut off all funding for the long running show.
The LATimes tweeted...'Mitt Romney loves Big Bird, will kill funding for him anyway.'
A fake Big Bird account twittered:
'WTF Mitt Romney :(
And later... 'Yo Mitt Romney, Sesame Street is brought to you today by the letters F & U!'
AND: European leaders are described as nervous about Romney's strong first debate performance.
They prefer working with the Obama administration...and don't like Romney's characterizations of the Eurozone...and especially Spain...as failures.
