    5 now have died...with at least 25 injured...from clashes with police over USA-based Newmont's proposed $4.8 billion Conga gold mine project.
    At least 15 were arrested...including protest leader and former priest...Marco Arana.

    Officials declared a 30 day state of emergency in 3 provinces...after thousands stormed government buildings in Celendin.
    Locals fear the 12,000 foot altitude project will destroy precious water supplies.
