      VARIETY reports that longtime Austin resident...director Robert Rodriguez...has added voluptuous Colombiana/popular comic TV actress...Sofia Vergara (above) to the cast of his 'Machete' sequel...'Machete Kills.'

      He has also reportedly signed Jessica Alba (below)...Michelle Rodriguez...fearsome Danny Trejo (above foto)...and current film biz bete noire...Mel Gibson!  

       OMG!
       Shooting may start later this month.
       How much will be filmed locally is unclear...but Rodriguez is well known for his 'frugality.'
       He maintains a complete film studio on his ranch outside Austin.
       It could mean ample star gazing...at the South Lamar Central Market.

       The only negative is the drop-dead gorgeous latina...missing from this cast...Penelope Cruz.
