VENEZUELA / NICARAGUA / USA : Ortega Breaks With Region And Supports USA's Narco Ban; Hedging His Bets?

      Last week...3 Central American leaders...tired of the cost of fighting a growing narco presence...and led by Guatemala's President Otto Perez Molina...proposed decriminalizing some drugs.
     The USA is...and has been...staunchly against any drug legalization.
     But Nicaragua...led by lefty Daniel Ortega...a regional thorn in the USA's side...would not support the  Central Am proposals.
     Though Ortega has supported the war of drugs...he may now be currying favor with the USA... hedging his bets...as his nation's biggest benefactor...Venezuela's Hugo Chavez... undergoes yet another round of chemo therapy in his desperate fight against cancer.
