Despite spending three days in Sao Paulo, the visiting Dalai Lama was completely ignored by President Dilma Rousseff's government.
Unlike Argentina and Mexico...where the Dalai was warmly received.
But his visit with President Calderon garnered a harsh message from China.
It said that Calderon “grossly interfered with China’s internal affairs, hurt the feelings of the Chinese people and harmed Chinese-Mexican relations.”
And it added: “We demand the Mexican side adopt measures to eliminate the bad impact and to safeguard the sound and stable development of Chinese-Mexican relations.”
Trade between China and Brasil last year was $56.4 bn.
