Dainius Rutkauskas is attempting to re-brand this Baltic nation...to distinguish it from neighboring Latvia and Estonia...with a national perfume/air freshener called "Lietuvos Kvapas".
The scent is a mix of bergamot, wild flowers, ginger, grapefruit, raspberry and many other complex base notes.
He states that: "It's a way of promoting Lithuania as a modern country, rather than just an old Soviet satellite state. To many people in the West, Lithuania has a bad image. They read in the newspapers of committing crimes or doing weird stuff. But we are not criminals or bandits."
