CHILE: Copper Miners Strike Widens; Collahuasi Joins Codelco Workers; Copper Prices Climb.

    As the strike at the world's biggest copper mine Escondida approaches its 9th day...workers at Collahuasi have also begun a 24-hour strike over production bonuses.
    Collahuasi is the world’s third biggest copper mine.
    Stoppages at Escondida and Collahuasi may reduce world copper supply by about 10%.
    Since the 22 July Escondida strike began...copper prices have climbed 2.2%.
