Former media baron Jose Enrique Crousillat (pictured) was arrested during a raid in Lima.
He had been hiding since last March when President Alan Garcia revoked a humanitarian pardon.
In 2006, Crousillat began an eight year term for corruption but was released in December 2009 after complaining of heart problems.
Garcia got angry after numerous reports that Crousillat was seen in clubs seemingly in good health and enjoying his freedom.
So a manhunt began.
