CHILE: Former President Bachelet Will Head New UN Women's Rights Agency.

     The first woman elected president of Chile, Michelle Bachelet, will be the first head of a new global United Nations agency created to advance
women’s rights. Bachelet, 58, was chosen from 26 candidates for her political skills and ability to create consensus though she was the front-runner.
