John Scibeck, 67, lived in Florida, where he had retired more than a decade ago after raising a family in Stoughton, Massachusetts.

His body was found in Playa Potrero. Police say he was murdered. Playa Potrero is a small community of expatriates. Violent crime is rare, though local police concede drug dealing is a problem.
