BOLIVIA: Neighbors Cutting Dependence On Its Gas Resources.

New gas supplies are challenging Bolivia's energy importance as new sources are come on-line in Brasil, Argentina and Chile and neighbors start importing gas from sources as varied as Qatar, Trinidad and Tobago.
“The new projects in South America offer a striking example of how countries can cut their umbilical dependence on pipelines,” said energy expert Carlos Alberto López. “We are awakening to the reality that our energy nationalism is shooting us in the foot.”
