President Cristina continued her assault on the media...especially the powerful opposition Clarin Grupo...when she banned classified newspaper ads by sex workers...in a country where prostitution is legal.
CFK said it was "a giant step forward in the defense of women"... although many of the ads feature transvestites and male escorts.
Kirchner and Clarín have been at odds since 2008.
The newspaper group has especially focused on corruption in her administration.

BLOOMBERG
President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner chose Economy Minister Amado Boudou, 48, as her running mate for the 23 October election.
“He’s a person who is loyal to this president. He’s a person that in 2008 came up in the middle of the world crisis and told the president the rules of the world economy have changed, we must also change”, said CFK.
Boudou plays guitar, loves rock and roll and rides motorbikes. He is her administration's most charismatic minister...much liked by important younger voters.

ARGENTINA: Cristina Running For President Again.
TELEGRAPH / R. Yapp
As if there were really any doubts...President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, 58, says she is running for re-election on 23 October.
On national television, CFK announced: "I always knew what I should do, and what I had to do."
"I didn't know because I am smart or ambitious; I knew it when thousands and thousands of people passed through here to say goodbye to him (Nestor) for the last time, and they shouted to me: 'Be strong, Cristina!'"
Rumors of bad health, ie, hypotension problems and even possible manic depression...along with family pressures... fed some doubts about a second run.
She was first elected in 2007, succeeding her husband, Nestor Kirchner, who died suddenly in October.

ARGENTINA: CFK Opposition Media Heirs Agree To New DNA Tests.
BBC
The 2 heirs to the opposition Clarin media group will not appeal...and instead follow a court ruling and submit new DNA samples.
Marcela and Felipe Noble Herrera were adopted by the Clarin Group's owner...fierce opponents of President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.
The tests could reveal if they were born to detainees killed by the military in the 1970s.
They claim the tests violate their privacy and have backed their adoptive mother who has opposed them for a decade.

ARGENTINA / UK: Prez. CFK Calls Britain "Crude Colonial Power In Decline."
BBC
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, aka CFK, described UK PM David Cameron’s refusal to discuss Falklands/Malvinas Islands’sovereignty...as “mediocre and almost stupid”.
The British PM recently stated that Falklands’sovereignty “is not negotiable. Period!”
He added “as far as the Falklands maintain their interest in remaining as British sovereign territory, they should remain that way, and there is nothing more to say about it”.
CFK says Cameron's attitude “reveals that the UK is a coarse colonial power” and added “colonialism is an antiquity”.
“Only arrogance and mediocrity can put an end to history; you can be certain I will continue tirelessly claiming the sovereignty over our Islands until they (UK) sits at the dialogue table to negotiate as marked by the UN resolution”, she declared.
