ARGENTINA: Reciprocity Tourist Tax Begins.

MERCO PRESS/
Bad news for American tourists visiting Argentina. A new entry tax is levied on tourists from countries that charge Argentines as the U.S. does. It applies to everyone arriving as tourists, students or for business. It will now cost Americans arriving at Ezeiza Airport $131.
Interior Ministry Florencio Randazzo said the “total tax will be equivalent to the one that Argentines pay to get their visa to travel to these countries. Argentina will not ask for a visa but will charge a tax as Brasil and Chile do with those foreign tourists who come from the countries that ask for visas.”
